The 19th Ave NE Reconstruction Project is one of the voter-approved 2024 G.O. Bond Projects.
The project involves the reconstruction of 19th Avenue NE from 10th Street NE to Cherry Road NE, including roadway, drainage, water line, sanitary sewer, and subsurface utility engineering design.
Status Log:
February 2026: The milling and installation of the ADA curb ramps on the south side have been completed.
January 2026: A traffic switch to the north side of 19th Ave. NE is expected on January 26th. Milling on the south side of 19th Ave. NE is anticipated to begin by the end of January 2026.
December 2025: The bottom mat paving on the north side of 19th Avenue is scheduled for December 18th and 19th. Construction of ADA curb ramps on the north side of 19th Avenue is anticipated from December 22nd to December 24th.
November 2025: Water line connections on Cherry Road, Strawberry Place, Strawberry Drive (North), Rebecca Loop (East), Rebecca Loop (West), 17th Avenue, Mulberry Court, Blueberry Drive and Strawberry Drive (South).
October 2025: Milling on the north side of 19th Avenue NE began on September 29th. The installation of the new water line is currently ongoing along the westbound lane of 19th Ave NE.
September 2025: Constructionstart date is September 29, 2025
August 2025: Governing Body meeting for advice and consent
July 2025: Bid opening with six bidders with Compass Engineering & Construction as the lowest bidder
June 2025: Advertisement for bidding
March 2025: Complete 90% design and conduct review meeting. Proceeding with 100% design.
January 2025: Complete 60% design and conduct review meeting
