District 2

Jeremy Lenentine

Councilor Lenentine was appointed by Mayor Hull and confirmed by the City Council, pursuant to the City Charter, on April 10, 2019 to fill the District 2 City Council seat that was vacated on March 13, 2019. He was elected to office in March 2020 to a two-year term. Lenentine was elected to a four-year term in March 2022. 

The next election for the District 2 City Councilor seat is March 2026. Rio Rancho Governing Body members are elected in non-partisan elections.

The Governing Body selected Lenentine to serve as Deputy Mayor at their May 9, 2024 meeting.

Biographical Information

Personal

Deputy Mayor Lenentine has lived in Rio Rancho since 1988. All of his immediate family, including his wife and their three foster children, call Rio Rancho home and have been deeply tied to the community for a number of years. He has worked with Rio Rancho residents for about 10 years through his local church, organizing community events and helping residents with resources they need.
