Science Fairs and Expos

The City of Rio Rancho’s Water Conservation Office is committed to encouraging future generations in their interest and exploration of how to be good stewards of our precious water resources. The Water Conservation Office is proud to once again sponsor the “Every Drop Counts” award.  This award is given to an RRPS high school student whose science fair project best represents a water topic such as water quality, water conservation or water efficiency. Rio Rancho Public Schools recently held their RRPS Science Expo. The expo featured student science projects from Rio Rancho High School and Cleveland High School.

This year’s “Every Drop Counts” award recipient was Abel Salgado from Cleveland High School for his project “Sunsational Water”. He was selected for his exploration into techniques of atmospheric water harvesting. Congratulations Abel on a job well done! Keep up the curiosity and stay up to date with this emerging technology.
