Sandoval County Seed Library
The Sandoval County Seed Library is maintained by the Sandoval County Master Gardeners and has locations at both Rio Rancho Public Libraries

The Sandoval County Seed Library freely distributes vegetable, herb and flower seeds to the public in an effort to preserve the area’s agricultural heritage by promoting the use of regionally adapted seed, building genetic diversity and strengthening food security through education and a culture of sharing. This Seed Library is a member of the Seed Savers Exchange, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and sharing heirloom seeds.

Seed libraries are self-sustaining. Seed "borrowers" contribute seeds from their harvest back into the seed library's collection to ensure the library is continually stocked.

The Sandoval County Master Gardeners hold regular programs at the Libraries on seed saving, seed sorting, and gardening. Check out our
Event Calendar for upcoming events.

The ABQ Library also houses the ABQ Seed Library at their Juan Tabo Branch.
