Free Landfill Days
The Rio Rancho Waste Management Landfill offers one free landfill drop-off per month for Rio Rancho residents with a current WM account. Residents can utilize the landfill any day of the month during regular operating hours.
IMPORTANT: Proof of Rio Rancho residency will be required to receive the free monthly landfill drop-off benefit. Please bring BOTH a driver’s license and your most recent WM bill as proof of residency.
Free disposal for up to 1,000 lbs. Loads over 1,000 lbs. will be charged normal gate rate. Commercial waste will not be accepted. For more information contact Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful at 505-891-5015 or Waste Management at 505-892-1200.
Glass Recycling
NEW! Glass Recycling Drop-off! The Rio Rancho Waste Management Landfill now offers a free drop-off site for glass bottles during normal business hours. DO NOT put glass in your recycling cart. Glass may be dropped off at 1132 Carpenter St NE, Monday through Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM, and Saturdays 7:30AM - 12:00PM.
