Summer Reading has a new look!

This year you can register and track your reading online, from the convenience of your computer, tablet, or smartphone. You can even log the reading activities for all your family from one account, using our library's Beanstack platform.

Reading Goals and Activities

Goals for the program are as follows:

  • Children: 300 minutes in June and July (600 minutes total)
  • Teens: 400 minutes in June and July (800 minutes total)
  • Adults: 2 books 

Children and Teens also have the option to complete a variety of Activities, or Experience Challenges, in order to earn entries into prize drawings.

How to Use Beanstack

  1. Getting Started

  4. Log Books (Adults)
  • Use the link to our Beanstack page OR download the Beanstack app via your smartphone's app store, either for Android (Google) or iOS (Apple).
  • If using the app, look for the program for Rio Rancho Public Library. Create a free account with an email and password.
  • Now add each person in your family as a reader to your account by clicking on your name in the upper right corner and selecting Add a Reader
  • For each reader, register for the age-appropriate Reading Challenge: Children's, Teen, or Adult by clicking on the reading program logo and selecting Join in the popup box.
