Upcoming Municipal Election

The next scheduled regular municipal election will take place in March 2020. The following municipal officers will be elected:

  • City Councilor District 1: 4-year term
  • City Councilor District 2: 2-year term (unexpired term)
  • City Councilor District 4: 4-year term
  • City Councilor District 6: 4-year term

Ballot Questions

 "Shall the City of Rio Rancho issue up to $10,810,000 of general obligation bonds, to be repaid from property taxes, for the purpose of designing, constructing, repairing, preserving, rehabilitating, enhancing, and otherwise improving roads?"

*All of the city's registered voters are eligible to vote on the bond question.
